I've screwed up big time. I have £96 left to live off at University, until the magic £1900 I'm owed by my mother finally comes through. It's silly really. On the false hope of getting the money early, I have everything I've wanted for years, but now, barely enough money to eat for no more than 3 or 4 weeks.

I think the one thing that's kept from completely losing it at this moment in time is that special girl. She may not think she's actually done that much other than be a great friend, but it's all meant so much to me at a time when everything's just fallen apart. I may have been a bit 'off' this weekend, and if you're reading this, I'm sorry.

I know, in my heart, that once all's done for both of us, you're the woman I want to be with more than any other.

You are beautiful Ellen, both on the inside and the out.

I still need to get the last couple of boxes packed, then weigh them, then see how much it's going to cost to get them shipped up to Dundee.

Thankfully, I got the letter from the SLC, and I get a lot of money from the government. Around £3,201 as a loan, and £2,451 as a grant, meaning I can live on £47 a week without work. I'll probably get a weekend job so I have that extra spending cash though.

At least this means I'll have enough money to visit different conventions, and the people I care about and really want to see again.

Well, in the past week, a bit has happened, most notably, my birthday, so I'm now nineteen-nuh-nuh-nuh-n-n-nineteen.

Most of my friends were actually in the area/country this time, so in all, a much better day than my 18th. Amongst presents and purchases were the first three seasons of Family Guy on DVD, Placebo's 'Meds', an amazing hand-made card from Donna & Serena, an edited birthday picture from Ellen, and a PS2 with Devil May Cry 1+2.

Also, started playing through Quake 4. About bloody time really.

Well, in a quick update, I've managed to finally complete Silent Hill 3 and Call of Cooki... *ahem* Cthuhlu. I've now restarted Beyond Good & Evil in a hope to finish that before I lose the save-file again like last time.

I'm joining an IRC 'Ultimate' version of Galaxy Girl from City of Heroes, which has made a rather drastic retcon change to Max, quite possibly the biggest retcon one can make without having the character not born in the first place...

Other than that, mostly work, or being cooped up inside with nothing to do, being kept sane by Ellen. *waves*

My exams, and my time at college are both finally over. The Philosophy exam may not give me the best grade I've ever had, but it was fun to sneak in examples about Chuck Norris and Thundercats for the questions about David Hume.

Did some celebratory shopping in Worthing after meeting up with Megan to give her the Casanova DVD I had to order for her, and purchased the World of Darkness rulebook (seeing as I got the Vampire: The Requiem book, and then found out I needed the WoD ruleset as well). Also got Depeche Mode's 'Playing The Angel' to complete my back catalogue, and Keane's 'Under The Iron Sea' for the hell of it.

Picked up GTA: San Andreas for the PC as well, seeing as it's *finally* come down in price.

Last couple of nights, I've finally got partially back into the swing of things at Galaxy Girl on City of Heroes. The particular jerk who originally ruined things for me has taken his leave, so a tentative return is in place.

I've also budged my way into the 'Hunt For Requiem' plot Doctor Temporis is running, and of course, making sure I add an underlying subplot of subterfuge and deceit as well...

Got 'Some Great Reward' and 'Music For The Masses' through the post this morning too.

Psychology Exam on Wednesday, and I am nowhere near prepared enough.

Let's try and remember what I can of the past few days...

- I finally completed Killer 7 on the Gamecube on Wednesday after about a year or so since it first came out, which is a fantastic game. The artwork on it is a refreshing break from the norm, and the overly-confusing plot pleased me to no end. Not to mention, the game just felt *good* to play, with no annoying niggles to ruin it.

- Trying to get a meal out sorted for my birthday, or at least as close to it as possible considering it's on a Thursday.

- Went on a spending frenzy today. I've purchased my activation fee for 'Dark and Light', so will probably be playing that with Quilla later on, 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' by The Beatles, and five, yes FIVE Depeche Mode albums. (Admittedly two are coming through the post) Some Great Reward, Music For The Masses, Songs of Faith & Devotion, Ultra, and Exciter.

This leaves me with just Playing The Angel left to complete the Depeche Mode back catalogue.

Well, not much happened today, so a recap of yesterday:

Tried revision, mixed with Killer 7. That didn't work, so I started to clear my room of things that I won't be taking to Dundee in September. I managed to get rid of most of the bits of useless papers and magazines, and filled my entire recycling bin.

I also found over 400 Pokemon cards, which will make me a rich man when they become collectable again.

Deadlands was moved to yesterday evening due to people being unable to make it tonight, and despite the entire town being surrounded by evil cultists, we all survived. My backup plan was to grab a robe, put it on, and use my 4d10 Bluff skill to jibber-jabber my way out of trouble.

Maybe next time.

Writing painfully after just failing to fit two giant crisps in my mouth at once...

It's been a nice, chilled-out day today, save for some jerk undercutting me whilst I'm cycling and making a right turn. Travelled all the way to college to renew a library book, only to find I could have renewed it by phone. Three years of going there, and I was never informed of this.

After those small irritations, mostly sat back and relaxed, which I haven't really done properly for a while. Started work on a cover of Depeche Mode's "Fly On The Windscreen", trudged ever onwards in Silent Hill 3, and watched X-Men cartoons.

All, in all, a good day.

Thankfully, a day of rest today. I've completely spring-cleaned by PC area, and gotten rid of six year's worth of PC Gamer and PC Zone coverdiscs, and actually *cleaned* my worktop. With a soapy cloth! And water!

Getting there in completing Silent Hill 3 now, although progress was halted by the game's graphics becoming corrupted, and unfixable with a reset. Problem being, there's never been a patch released for it.

And no whiney stuff today.

With not much time left until I go move to Dundee for University, I did a bit of reflection on the past few years whilst at work.

I barely see anyone I knew from High School anymore, probably about 10-20 at most, all of my current friends are from college, or over the internet. Apart from some obvious reasons of some people attending different colleges or dropping education altogether, I can't see why this has happened, but it has.

I also got thinking about Victoria. She started work at the same place as me at the same time, and we got along really well, and it seemed that things between us might have gotten rather quickly to 'more than just friends'. However, she found out she was pregnant from her ex-boyfriend, and she went to her Mum's place in Birmingham or Liverpool, I forget which one.

Things, as you may have guessed, didn't happen between us, but I do think about whether they could have. I didn't purposefully shun her because she was pregnant. I'd like to think I could have coped in being there for her and the baby, but I realise that in truth, at 16, I probably wouldn't have been able to at all. I'll never know now, but it always comes back to linger on my mind from time to time as to whether I made the right decision.

Of course, I could say that things haven't worked out too badly. Yes, I'm single, but I'd like to think that there is someone with whom I might have a chance in the future, just not right now. And I think, that after the example above, I'm willing to wait, rather than pass up another opportunity and be left thinking 'what if?' for the rest of my life.

Bloody stomach cramps from work today. Got put in a highly reach-uppy reach-downy task, straight after lunch.

In better news, Issue 7 is finally out, and my Thugs Blastermind, Depeche Mode, is ready to shoot things repeatedly until they fall over. (Up until his name gets changed I suppose)

If you haven't got Issue #5 of Transformers: Infiltration, go out and buy the first five (including the Issue #0 teaser) and then buy this, because it's got goddamn Megatron, being big and stompy and blasty, and he looks bloody amazing.

Just waiting for dinner to finish cooking, then off to tonight's Deadlands game.

My AS Music exam was pretty much abysmal today. The Listening paper was okay, but the History of Music paper just went very wrong, very fast. Out of two sections needed for the paper, I wrote a whole *two sentences* for the first section, and no more than 3/4 of a side of A4 paper for the second section.

So, as with all bad things, I went to do some retail therapy, and got Hot Chip's album 'The Warning', and Depeche Mode's 'Black Celebration'.

In true bad-day style, I really shouldn't have bought them as I can't afford it, and Hot Chip's album was rather a disappointment.

Well, last night went great up until the point where I was leaving, an found out my bike had been vandalised. Thankfully, it was in a just-ridable state, so I could get home.

I just don't get how people are so disrespectful of other'sproperty. Sure, even the best-minded person may make some thoughtless comment about someone's prized possession, or handle something personally valuable to another person less carefully, but to outright try and destroy something that doesn't belong to you seems unexplainable to me, unless you happen to have the IQ of a large primate mammal.

Although, it's nice to to know that:

Today was unbearably hot, especially due to the fact I work in a giant glasshouse.

Music revision goes onward, and hopefully is actually getting somewhere. I'll find out on Monday.

Today Is A Good Day To...Live, Actually

The revision session went well today, and even though I probably deserve to fail this Music exam, I now stand a fighting chance at it. Also, due to my revision-friend leaving early for a trip to Brighton, no accidental wrong signals through coffee!

Will have to repay the favour another time, and without accidentally making it look like I'm asking her on a date.

All four Silent Hill soundtracks arrived through the post from Ebay today, and to my surprise, they were all the real-deal, not pirated versions. Not bad for £22, when Silent Hill 1's OST alone can go for £30.

I finally tracked down Lost Episode 5, thanks to a friend of mine, and will probably be eternally grateful, as well as buying him a pint to say thankyou.

Now awaiting the transfer of a Phantasy Star Universe video from Ellen...and here it is.
